Graduate Student Competencies:

Students who complete the program acquire:

- knowledge in the field of current accounting, drawing and analysing annual financial reports in different types of enterprises, i.e. enterprises with production and commercial activities, banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, non-profit enterprises, etc.;

- skills in the use of information technologies in accounting, financial and accounting analysis tools to assess the state of an enterprise and control mechanisms in relation to the prevention of fraud and abuse in accounting;

- decision-making skills, ensuring effective accounting management in enterprises from various fields of activity, knowledge on auditing financial statements and funds under EU programs and funds;

- skills to work in teams, think analytically and critically developing projects on current practical-applied problems;

- skills to apply the acquired knowledge by solving current practical cases, conducting a master's internship and developing a master's thesis based on an actual enterprise.

Graduation:

Completion of studies in the bachelor's programme takes place by defending a bachelor's dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits. The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.

Career Fields and Positions: Graduates pursue careers in the public and corporate sector, including in production and commercial enterprises, in enterprises specialized in the field of services, in banks and financial institutions, in investment funds, in public and insurance companies, in the structural units of the NRA, NOI and NHIF, in central and local institutions of the Ministry's system of Finance, in the Audit Office, etc. They can work as chief and deputy chief accountants, chief cashiers, external and internal auditors, assistant auditors, trainee auditors in the Audit Chamber, auditors and financial controllers, experts, consultants, specialists and analysts in the field of accounting, taxation, crediting and others.
