Short presentation of the programme:
Programme Overview:
The programme is practice-oriented and gives the opportunity of an exchange with European educational institutions. It provides specialised musical instruction in the fields of modern dance choreography and Bulgarian folk dance choreography. In the course of study, the students get acquainted with the principles and methods in stage work and choreographic dance composition, dance form analyses, state-of-the-art dance techniques, improvisational techniques in contemporary choreography, dance composition and folk choreographic direction. The programme is unique for its modern teaching methods, flexibility and individual teaching approach. The programme is updated periodically.

Graduate Student Competencies:
Graduates will have mastered knowledge and skills in:
• the field of musicology and musical culture, music theory and history, dance art, Bulgarian folk choreography;
• performing and interpretive dance art in contemporary choreography, direction and folklore;
• teaching in specialised educational institutions (music schools, colleges, folk arts, choreographic schools, etc.);
• administration and management of heterogeneous executive teams.

Graduation:
Completion of studies takes place by defending a master’s dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits.
