Practical training courses:

There are placement and internship contracts concluded with institutions in Bulgaria. Each semester students have the opportunity to participate in national and international projects, improving the knowledge and skills mastered during the course of study at NBU.

Graduate Student Competencies:

The program is practically oriented. Graduates will have mastered knowledge and skills in:

• the field of theory and practice and modern musical culture;

• instrumental and vocal performing and interpreting skills in the field of pop and jazz music;

• teaching in specialised educational institutions (music schools, colleges, etc.);

• the field of musical performance and specialised musical pedagogy;

• managing heterogeneous performing teams and compositions.

Graduation:

The duration of the course of study is three semesters, each semester consisting of:

• lecture courses: a total of 9 credits earned in 3 out of 4 courses offered;

• practical courses, individual: 6 credits earned in 3 out of 4 courses offered;

• training courses: 15 credits earned in 5 out of 7 courses offered.

Upon earning the required number of credits. The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.

Occupation and possible positions:

Graduates pursue careers in professional filed 8.3. Music and Dance Art as pop/jazz instrumentalists, orchestrators, accompanists, pop/jazz singers, pop singers, instrument teachers (relevant instrument), singing teacher in specialised music schools, colleges and universities.
