Strategic Leadership (in English)
Short presentation of the programme:
Strategic Leadership is a multidisciplinary scientific area that includes elements of political science, public administration, macroeconomics and management. In today's dynamic and globalised world, the need for leadership and leading teams in various fields is becoming increasingly important. Modern public administration and the dynamic market environment require staff who are prepared to make real-life decisions, possessing practical knowledge and skills in planning, implementing and launching projects. To this end, there is a dynamic trend of developing a multidisciplinary approach in student training, accessing a theoretical and practical set of knowledge and skills in various areas of the social sciences (Public Administration, Macroeconomics, Management, Macroeconomics and Political Sciences), united under the umbrella programmes like Strategic Leadership. The attractiveness of the multidisciplinary approach lies in its practicality and link of the educational process with the real-life public environment and the need to form practical skills based on proven theoretical tenets from the relevant scientific fields. The development trends of such leadership programmes are ascending, being implemented in a wide range of scientific centres and universities worldwide due to the prominent need and shortage of well-prepared leaders in the public and private sectors. In Bulgaria, at the moment, there is no other bachelor's or master's degree programme in which such knowledge and skills are taught. The training in the program is state-of-the-art, equipping students with both theoretical and practical knowledge in the relevant scientific fields.
