Language and Publicity. Philosophical and Sociological Approaches (in Bulgarian)

Short presentation of the programme:

The programme is of interdisciplinary nature and is offered in the fields of philosophy and sociology. A common feature of the contemporary state of both philosophy and sociology is the great diversity of thematic directions, research methods and categorical languages. This diversity is innate in even the most general questions concerning the subject matter, cognitive tasks and social functions of philosophy and sociology. The expansion of pluralism is a common trend in the development of both sciences. Despite the diversity of philosophy and sociology these days, however, the topic of language remains one of the most important intersections between the two sciences. The programme offers a specific research profile, introducing students to contemporary philosophical and sociological approaches to language analysis and are involving them in practical studies of the public uses of the language in Bulgaria.
