Creative Writing (in Bulgarian)
Short presentation of the programme:
The programme offers instruction in creative writing, prepares for serious literary research and an independent creative process, which, in addition to culminating in writing a book, help to develop the skills and habits a prolific author needs. There are three theoretical courses, while the rest envisage practical development of the skills included in the course titles, namely writing, reading and commenting. The core courses are taught by prominent authors experienced in creative writing teaching. During seminars and training courses, students meet many Bulgarian authors who share their writing experience.

Graduate Student Competencies:
Graduates will have mastered:
• in-depth knowledge of the creative process;
• in-depth knowledge of a wide range of literary works;
• ability to distinguish different methods of structuring the literary text;
• ability to create their own literary texts in different genres: prose, poetry, drama.
Graduation:
Completion of studies takes place by defending a master’s dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.
