Short presentation of the programme:

The programme focuses on policy analysis and policy practice. The course of study comprises courses in Comparative Political Systems and Public Policies, Political Marketing and Political Leadership, Methods of Public Policy Analysis, Political Psychology, and Lobbying. The training courses include ad hoc courses, individual work and projects. The programme offers a preparatory module for holders of degrees in other professional areas.

Practical training courses:

The programme provides student research placements within the course of study. The programme assists in conducting student internships in leading Bulgarian non-governmental organisations and state institutions.

International mobility:

The programme provides an opportunity for Erasmus+ international student mobility at universities in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Cyprus, Germany, Greece and Turkey.

Graduate Student Competencies:

Graduates will have mastered:

• political education with the possibility of orientation in the applied field of political management and public policies;

• preparation for research implementation in scientific and expert units;

• expert knowledge for working in political parties, governmental and non-governmental organisations, media.

Graduation:

Completion of studies takes place by defending a master’s dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits.

The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.

Occupation and possible positions:

Graduates pursue careers in state administration, political parties, international organisations, non-governmental sector and research organisations.
