Literature, Book Publishing, Media (in Bulgarian)
Short presentation of the programme:
The programme offers comprehensive, interdisciplinary training in three interrelated areas: literature, book publishing and media. Its goals are both theoretical (training students in contemporary literary studies, the theory and history of the book and book publishing, and media studies, esp. literary and print media) and practical (education in the fields of editing, publishing and literary analysis).

Practical training courses:
Practical training includes internships in cultural and literary printing houses and Internet-based culture and literature publications, publishing houses, book distribution networks and schools, the NBU University Diary Newspaper, Literary Journal, etc.
International mobility:
The programme provides an opportunity for international student mobility on various international programmes.
Graduate Student Competencies:
Graduates will have gained knowledge on current trends in literary theory and history, history and theory of book culture, structure and functioning of the media field. Graduates will have mastered skills in reading and understanding literary texts, editing and publishing books, in the field of printing and Internet-based media.
Graduation:
Completion of studies takes place by defending a master’s dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.
Occupation and possible positions:
Graduates pursue careers in print, electronic and internet media, book publishing and book distribution.
