Short presentation of the programme:
The programme is designed to prepare media and communications professionals who gain both the theoretical training and the necessary skills to manage independent information structures related to media, marketing, business and politics.

Practical training courses:
The programme provides placements and internships in social media agencies and networks, established public relations agencies and in-house public relations departments in private companies, national public and private media, online media, print, electronic and internet media, Bulgarian National Television, Bulgarian National Radio, Access to Information Programme and NBU print and online publications.
International mobility:
The programme provides an opportunity for international student mobility at universities in Greece, France, Turkey, Spain, Lithuania and Denmark.
Graduate Student Competencies:
Graduates will have gained knowledge and skills in:
• management theories in a historical and contemporary context;
• organisation, management and structure of the media industries and their role in the public space;
• culture, art, media and politics to build their own criteria in media;
• analysing and evaluating media structures, organisation and management of electronic media and other means of mass communication;
• managing creative teams in audiovisual production and mastering the mechanisms for organising and managing a team;
• mastering management tools that allow them to conduct media and program policy.
Graduation:
Completion of studies takes place by defending a master’s dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.
Occupation and possible positions:
Graduates pursue careers in media, public relations agencies and advertising firms, in the communications departments of public administration, local government and private companies.
