Scene Design and Media (in Bulgarian)
Short presentation of the programme:
The programme is in the field of plastic arts, cinema and television, pursued by bachelor’s degree holders in these fields and open to eligible candidates from various universities and specialties which creates a diverse creative and intellectual environment. It is an interesting fact is that there is currently no design specialisation in cinema and television in the Balkan countries, while within the EU similar specialisations are offered at only five educational institutions.

Practical training courses:
The programme includes placements and internships at the NBU theatre, other theatres, cinema and television studios, specially equipped studios at NBU and external organisations under contracts.
International mobility:
Erasmus+ contracts with art academies in France, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic and Turkey; cooperation and mutual exchange agreements: USA, University of Georgia - Athens
Graduate Student Competencies:
Graduates will have mastered knowledge and skills in history and theory of design in theatre, cinema, and television; creatively applying them in their projects in the field of theatre, television and film production. They will have mastered skills in computer and multimedia technologies, classic and modern methods of artistic design and implementing their own theatre, cinema, television, show and installation projects.
Graduation:
Completion of studies takes place by defending a master’s dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.
