Business Communications (in Bulgarian)
Short presentation of the programme:
The programme was designed to respond to the modern business environment challenges and was developed in accordance with the latest results of science and practice. It fosters professionals in corporate and company communications management as well as in communication-oriented organisation. The programme is interdisciplinary and comprises courses in Economics, Business, Finance, Management, Organisational Psychology, Team and Project Management, as well as Culture and Linguistics, focusing on the characteristic of Bulgaria's relations with foreign-speaking partners. In addition, the course of study includes also such courses as Event Management, Advertising and Commercial Communications, Customer Relationship Management, Company Culture, Online Communications, etc., necessary for successful partnerships in with businesses, public institutions and NGOs. The emphasis is placed on communication skills that enable successful negotiations, consultations and joint activities based on a good knowledge of cultural, public, social and economic features. A special place is devoted to specialised terminology. The program offers an upgrading semester to holders of professional bachelor’s degrees in the Professional Area 3.7. Administration and Management.

Graduates will have gained:
• knowledge about the modern trends of the global business environment;
• skills to successfully participate in the preparation, conclusion and execution of business deals, as well as in support of management decision taking at company level, taking into account the opportunities and risks of the world markets;
• knowledge and skills to support planning of economic relations, helping forecast and analyse consequences of economic policies of some countries in the conditions of global trade and financial market both at individual company and macroeconomic level;
• knowledge and skills to manage commercial communications, advertising and public relations;
• knowledge and skills to master the management of customer relations and external economic relations;
• knowledge of the terminology, methods and techniques for written and verbal business communication in English and/or Russian, as well as the specifics of online communications;
• practical skills for creating the main types of existing business documents in English and/or Russian.
Graduation:
Completion of studies takes place by defending a master’s dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.
Occupation and possible positions:
Graduates pursue careers at different levels in state and private companies in teams or departments developing projects, participating successfully in the preparation, conclusion and execution of business deals with foreign partners, as well as supporting management decision-taking, considering the opportunities and risks of world markets.
