Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Computer and Communication Technologies (in Bulgarian) Distance Learning

Short presentation of the programme:

The programme deals with current aspects of entrepreneurship, innovation and technology management of the modern computer and communication technology industries, highlighting the aspects of project financing, development and implementation of new systems, entrepreneurship in electronic media and telecommunications operators, outsourcing companies and system integrators of hardware and software resources and services, disruptive electronic technologies, infrastructure project implementation in telecommunications and computer technologies, distribution and support of digital technologies and services. The specialisation is the following: Innovation and entrepreneurship in computer and communication technologies. There is an upgrading semester for holders of professional bachelor’s degree in the professional area 5.3 Communication and Computer Technology. The programme offers a preparatory semester taught at Telecommunications and Computer Technologies programme for holders of bachelor's degrees in other professional areas.

Practical training courses:

Students in the programme are provided with placements and internships in national mobile telecom operators, radio and television operators, international outsourcing companies, companies and organisations in the field of computer and Internet technologies, manufacturers of telecommunications equipment and system and network equipment, start-up companies, as well and the academic environment of NBU: the radio-television studio, telecommunications laboratory, Internet of Things (IoT) laboratory and existing specialised classrooms for computer systems and networks and telecommunications.

Graduation:

Completion of studies takes place by defending a master’s dissertation or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits.

The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.

Occupation and possible positions:

Graduates pursue careers in:

• enterprises in the field of computer and telecommunication technologies;

• development units, organisations dealing with innovations, technological clusters, etc.;

• development and servicing of corporate information and telecommunication networks and systems;

• non-governmental sector of telecommunications, ministries, agencies and other companies and organisations.
