Анотация:

ANNOTATION AND GOAL OF THE COURSE:

The course is an introduction to the requirements and essence of the general exams on working with MS Windows and MSOffice (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) on РС, on using РС in LAN, on information search in Internet and using E-mail. Credits are acquired after successfully taken exam on computer skills.

The students who finish successfully the course:

1) Know:

The basic principles of the computer systems architecture and the principles of the information processing by computer.

2) Can:

Use computer for work with the operational system MS Windows (work with folders and files) and for work with the MSOffice applications Word, Excel and PowerPoint (document editing and formatting, using formulae and functions, creating charts, transferring information to presentation slides), the basic knowledge and practical skills of using search engines in Internet, e-mail, local area networks of computers.

The students are expected to have school level knowledge and skills on using personal computer.

During the semester two tests, Test1 at the eighth week, and Test2 at the 14th week are held. Students who successfully held both tests achieve a final grade - the average of the two test's grades. Students, who missed a test or failed at a test, MUST hold a Complex Examination Test during the first session following the semester. The examination schedule (day, time, room) will be published on the NBU web-site three days before the examination.

Students, who successfully held Test1 and Test2, but want to improve their final grade, HAVE THE RIGHT to hold a Complex Examination Test during the first session following the semester. They have to declare (in written form) their intention to hold a Complex Examination Test at least five days before the examination date at room 122, corpus I.
