Short presentation of the programme:
The doctoral programme in Anthropology is research-oriented and provides specialised training to conduct field research as well as analytical, theoretical and applied work in the field of sociocultural anthropology and social sciences. The training incorporates the latest achievements in human sciences: concepts, ideas, methods and practices.

Graduate Student Competencies:
PhD graduates in Anthropology will have:
• had in-depth knowledge of the latest achievements in the field of modern anthropology: ideas, concepts, methods;
• acquired skills to work in the field, prepare and conduct research, turn observations and interviews into scientific texts, verbal and visual (articles, presentations, monographs, ethnographic films);
• been able to develop, organise and conduct research and applied projects;
• acquired skills to write, edit and review scientific texts;
• developed teamwork skills;
• developed and improved teaching skills using modern methods, techniques and tools for academic teaching;
• acquired skills to carry out scientific guidance, consultation and expertise in the field of anthropology.
Graduation:
Upon earning the required number of credits and defending a doctoral dissertation.
Occupation and possible positions:
The graduates obtain a PhD degree in Anthropology and can pursue careers as lecturers in higher education institutions; researchers in scientific institutes; experts/consultants in the business and corporate sector; experts in professional/career guidance; analysts, market research specialists; advertising experts; editors, correspondents, reporters in the media; specialists in the field of tourism; curators in museums; state administration specialists, local administration experts; specialists in the non-governmental sector.
