World Economy. International Economic Relations (in Bulgarian)
Short presentation of the programme:
The programme ensures acquiring and updating knowledge on the processes in the global economic environment and their impact on corporate management in all industries. The highly interdisciplinary nature of the doctoral programme grants the graduates in other professional areas an opportunity to master and expand their competence in various areas of the modern economic environment, transcending the political borders of individual countries. The range of doctoral theses topics is extremely wide; however, their emphasis is put on evolution, state and prospects of the processes in the global economic and financial environment as well as their impact on the economic processes in Bulgaria. A substantial part of the analyses in the doctoral theses are the policies of the EU and the Bulgarian governments as well as their role in the specific internal consequences of the global environment changes.

• knowledge on the specialised literature and scientific achievements in the field of the world economy, corporate governance in a global environment and economic policy as well as its consequences in these conditions;
• knowledge and skills to apply the scientific achievements in the issues of the global market, international finance, trade and tourism in the field of corporate governance, public administration and the non-governmental sector;
• knowledge on the modern information technologies and an ability to apply them in the various areas of their professional activities;
• business acumen, competence and leadership skills.
Graduation:
Upon earning the required number of credits and defending a doctoral dissertation.

PhD graduates can:
• be successfully included in various company, political and public administrative structures, holding positions in the management bodies, senior executives and experts;
• teach at the various levels and forms of higher economic education and conduct full-fledged research activities in the field of international economy and finance, economic policy and corporate governance in the conditions of the global economy and financial market.
