Short presentation of the programme:
PhD students in Music work with some of the best musicologists in Bulgaria and Europe. Using the university's modern and extensive library facilities and guided by expert research supervisors, they continue their music education in theoretical research pursuits. PhD students at NBU have the opportunity to participate in an annual international PhD Students’ Scientific Conference with its proceedings published in a journal.

Upon earning the required number of credits and defending a doctoral dissertation.

PhD graduates can work in orchestras, operas, theatres, media and schools. Their expertise is valuable in the field of administration of musical processes as performers, accompanists and lecturers with respect to their professional qualifications.
