Short presentation of the programme:

The doctoral programme in Anthropology is research-oriented and provides specialised training to conduct field research as well as analytical, theoretical and applied work in the field of sociocultural anthropology and social sciences. The training incorporates the latest achievements in human sciences: concepts, ideas, methods and practices.

The programme has Erasmus+ agreements with the University of Durham, UK; University of Liege, Belgium; Jagiellonian University, Poland; Istanbul University, Turkey; Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iasi, Romania.

Graduate Student Competencies:

PhD graduates in Archaeology will have been provided with the opportunity to:

• pursue a promising scientific and teaching career in the field of archaeology;

• exercise highly expert activities in international organizations and museums;

• conduct field surveys and archaeological excavations.

Graduation:

Upon earning the required number of credits and defending a doctoral dissertation.

Occupation and possible positions:

PhD graduates can pursue careers as experts in scientific research centres, national and regional archaeological and historical museums as well as in the field of cultural heritage promotion.
