Short presentation of the programme:

In the first two years, the programme focuses on general education courses, two-semester courses in the main areas of study, such as Philosophy of Morality, Law and Politics, General Sociology, Aesthetics and Theory of Art, Political Science, Philosophy of Science, and general education courses in the field of social, economic and legal sciences. In the third and fourth years, the course of study includes lecture and training courses.

Practical training courses:

Practical training includes a Summer School in cooperation with the Fulbright Foundation, internships in schools, publishing houses and research institutes.

International mobility:

The programme provides an opportunity for international student mobility at universities in in France, Germany and Turkey.

Graduate Student Competencies:

• knowledge in the field of history of philosophy and the main branches of theoretical and practical philosophy, most important philosophical problems of private scientific knowledge; main philosophical theories about society, law and politics;

• skills in argumentation and leading a public debate, mastering techniques for philosophical analysis of theoretical and social problems.

Graduation:

Completion of studies in the bachelor's programme takes place by defending a bachelor's thesis or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits. In addition to the professional qualification provided, students can also obtain additional specialisation by enrolling in a minor programme.

The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.

Occupation and possible positions:

Graduates pursue careers as specialists in philosophy; specialists in the fields of science, education, media, consultancy, publishing, political organisations, non-governmental sector, state and municipal administration.
