Short presentation of the programme:
In the first two years, the instruction in the programme focuses on general education courses, two-semester courses in the main areas of study, such as Introduction to Computer Science, Introduction to Algorithms and Programming, Introduction to Electronic Communications and Telecommunication Technologies, Mathematics, Statistics, The Language of the Formal, as well as practical courses, such as Programming in C++, Java Programming, Operating Systems, Computer Architectures, Computer Networks, Advanced Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, etc. In the third and fourth years, the training comprises lecture and training courses. In the fourth year, the programme offers two specialisations that lead to the professional qualification of computer scientist.

Practical training courses:
Practical training includes placements in the NBU computer laboratories and internships in software production companies and IT departments.
International mobility:
The programme provides an opportunity for international student mobility at universities in Great Britain, France, Belgium and Germany.
Graduate Student Competencies:
• knowledge of the theoretical foundations of informatics, mastering several programming languages;
• skills in using different platforms and technologies for software development; administering information systems.
Graduation:
Completion of studies in the bachelor's programme takes place by defending a bachelor's thesis or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits. In addition to the professional qualification provided, students can also obtain additional specialisation by enrolling in a minor programme.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.
Occupation and possible positions:
Graduates pursue careers as specialists in information and communication technologies; systems analysts, software developers, application programmers, database designers and administrators, web content and multimedia developers.
