Accounting and Controlling (in Bulgarian)
Short presentation of the programme:
In the first and second years of the course of study, general education courses are taught. The foundations are laid, on which specialised knowledge in the field of accounting and controlling is built in the third and fourth years. The programme allows for flexibility thanks to which students can shape their scientific and applied profiles. Assisted by their professors, students can apply their knowledge through working on individual assignments on key current issues of modern accounting practice. Upon graduation, students will have mastered accounting, the language of business, thanks to which they are to understand the processes in each business unit.

Practical training courses:
Practical training includes practice in a training company and internships in government institutions, banks and financial institutions, non-financial enterprises, non-profit enterprises and insurance companies.
International mobility:
The programme provides an opportunity for international student mobility at universities in Italy, Germany, France and Switzerland.
Graduate Student Competencies:
• knowledge of the theory, methodology, organisation and technology of accounting and controlling in various enterprises;
• skills in organising, keeping accounts and auditing, applying international and national legislation in the field of accounting, auditing and controlling.
Graduation:
Completion of studies in the bachelor's programme takes place by defending a bachelor's thesis or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits. In addition to the professional qualification provided, students can also obtain additional specialisation by enrolling in a minor programme.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.

Graduates pursue careers as accountants; accounting and auditing specialists; experts in commercial enterprises, banks and financial institutions, investment funds and insurance companies; accountants, auditors, bank employees, accounting analysts, etc.
