Interior Design (in Bulgarian)
Short presentation of the programme:
In the first two years of the programme, the focus is on general education courses, two-semester courses in the main areas of study, such as Visual Arts Composition, The History of Fine Arts, Aesthetics and Art Theory, Culture and Semiotics, Human Culture, Mythology and Religion, Introduction to Archaeology, and practical courses, such as Morphology in Design, Ideas and Practical Solutions in Interior Design, Artistic Design, etc. In the third and fourth years, the course of study includes lecture and training courses.

Practical training courses:
Practical training includes developing individual design projects, preparing a portfolio, participating in exhibitions and working in the NBU Interior Design Studio.
International mobility:
The programme provides an opportunity for international student mobility at universities in Italy and Spain.
Graduate Student Competencies:
• have mastered knowledge of the artistic process as well as the graphic and spatial layout in the field of interior and exterior;
• have acquired skills in artistic designing residential and public interiors;
• have acquired skills in working with modern three-dimensional design software;
• have acquired skills in designing and implementing product design.
Graduation:
Completion of studies in the bachelor's programme takes place by defending a bachelor's thesis (portfolio, file format boards, presentation, 3D model) or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits. In addition to the professional qualification provided, students can also obtain additional specialisation by enrolling in a minor programme.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.
Occupation and possible positions:
Graduates pursue careers as designer; design consultants and designers in advertising agencies and design bureaus.
