Networking Technologies
Short presentation of the programme:
In the first two years, the instruction in the programme focuses on general education courses and lecture courses, such as Programming (C++), Computer Systems, Object-Oriented Programming (C++), Introduction to Networks, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Local and Global Networks, Virtualisation Systems, Databases and SQL, etc., as well as training courses, such as programming projects, databases, network algorithms, individual assignments. In the third and fourth years, the instruction comprises lecture and training courses. In the third year, the programme offers two specialisations that lead to a professional qualification.

Practical training courses:
Practical training includes work at the HP laboratory, NBU Informatics laboratory and placements and internships in software producing companies and IT departments.
International mobility:
The programme provides an opportunity for international student mobility at universities in Austria, France, Turkey, Germany and Lithuania.
Graduate Student Competencies:
• knowledge of designing computer networks, information systems and databases;
• ability to manage, install, test and administer local and global networks, design and develop software applications, programme Internet applications.
Graduation:
Completion of studies in the bachelor's programme takes place by defending a bachelor's thesis or passing a state exam upon earning the required number of credits. In addition to the professional qualification provided, students can also obtain additional specialisation by enrolling in a minor programme.
The graduation process complies with the NBU Standard for Educational and Qualification Degree Completion.

Graduates pursue careers as specialists in information and communication technologies; system administrators, network administrators, specialists in computer networks, software developers, project and database administrators, application programmers.
