Анотация:
The colloquium offers opportunities for expansion and practical application of the knowledge and skills acquired during the lecture courses in various types of management and relate them to professional communication. It aims at enriching students’ experience in terms of the theoretical aspects of the respective disciplines and their mutual interdependences through independent work on a specific project. Thus, they can get hands-on experience in using various analytical tools and approaches for the solution of professional communication issues in the sphere of management.
The course includes lectures and seminars aiming at the introduction of key topics and clarification of tasks. The focus, however, is on independent learning and task fulfilment. The students should then work independently on a more focused topic of their own choice and present the results of their research at a student conference at the end of the semester.

Компетенции:
On completion of this course, the students will:
1. gain a deeper understanding of qualitative and quantitative analysis of data
2. get acquainted with the latest theoretical and analytical approaches to the study of professional communication in the field of management
On completion of this course, the students will be able to:
1. apply theoretical knowledge and appropriate techniques for describing and analysing data in problem solving activities
2. work independently on a topic of their own choice and sphere of interest
3. present in an appropriate manner the results of their research
4. participate actively in conference discussions by contributing to the debates
Предварителни изисквания:
• The students should have taken all courses in management and communication included in the curriculum up to the point of the start of the colloquium.
