PIDM520 Семинар: Социална политика
Анотация:
The course aims at developing further the knowledge and skills already acquired about analysis of social policies and practices and offering practical opportunities for in-depth knowledge and study of specific Bulgarian, European and other international policies and models for social care and protection of children and families with a variety of social problems. Each student chooses a certain social problem and in consultation with the tutors and the group develops his project for analysis of existing policies and legislation, institutions and programs organized to help solve this problem. At the end of the course, everyone presents their analysis and the results are discussed.

Students who complete this course will:
1) know:
• about basic policies and models for working with diverse groups of children and families at risk or in need.
• about the main approaches for analysis and evaluation of policies and practices at the macro level of planning strategies and work models - national, local, European and others.
2) be able to:
• analyze of policies, legislation, strategies, methodological and other general tools for management of social services and programs;
• participate in discussions of policies and models for changing social care for diverse groups of children and families at risk or in need.
