PSYE402 Methodology of Psychophysiological Experiments
Анотация:
The course introduces the main neuroimaging psychophysiological methods used to study the brain function in relation to the human cognitive and affective processes.
The course covers several neuroimaging techniques – Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), as well as several psychophysiological methods, such as single cell recordings, recording of Local Field Potentials (LFP), Electro Encephalography (EEG), Magneto Encephalography (MEG), and Polygraph recordings (skin-galvanic potentials, Electro-Cardiogram (ECG), Electro-Myogram (EMG)). The course includes several practical exercises in the Neuroscience Lab.
Additionally, a lot of attention is devoted to the technology of planning and conducting psychophysiological experiments. The topics include the main methods for psychophysiological studies, data analysis and interpretation.
