NETB353 Криптография
Анотация:
The course is intended as an introduction in the classical and modern cryptography. It covers the main ideas used in the classical the classical and public key cryptosystems. In the same time it gives some ideas about the cryptanalysis of certain ciphers of practical importance. The course covers the following topics:
Historical overview of cryptology
Information theory and the notion of perfect security
Symmetric cryptosystems - block ciphers and stream ciphers; the old and new encryption standards (DES and Rijndael)
Asymmetric cryptosystems
Digital signatures; the ElGamal scheme and the Digital Signature Standard
Cryptographic protocol - random bit generation
Secret scharing schemes
The course objectives are:
to give the students a conceptual understanding of the basic ideas and methods used in modern cryptography
to help the students in achieving those computational skills need to carry out probability calculations in practical settings
