DIHB046 Проект: Етичен дизайн на изкуствения интелект (Project AI Ethically Aligned Design )

Анотация:

The project is integral part of the 21st AI Ethics and Elegance course. It will give students practically oriented assignments to evaluate relevant cases on how ethics of choice and elegance are inherent parts of AI perception. Students will do research on historically formed strong connectivity between ethics and aesthetics and how they could be used as AI ‘building blocks’ for autonomous intelligent systems, machine learning, deep fake filters in the 21st century.

During the semester lecturers will communicate with students using the following social channels:

• Zoom, WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat (on-screen discussions and consultations),

• Moodle (lecture materials, case studies and student assessments),

• Facebook groups (discussing supplementary ideas with students),

• Google Docs (collaborative processing on joint projects).

• Dropbox, WeTransfer, Telegram (sharing and synchronizing files up to 2 GB).

Описание на курса:

Компетенции:

Upon project completion students:

1) know:

• How to evaluate historically developed standards of ethics and elegance

• How to make an AI analysis of ethical choices using man-in-the-loop solutions of web applications and

• Why AI ethics of suggestive choice cannot replace human choice – risks and challenges in specific collaborative cases

• How immediate attractiveness of AI elegance can bridge the strange feeling of uncanny valley

2) are able to:

• Create a simple code in an hour

• Recognize main issues in historically relevant ethical solutions after the pandemic waves of the digital revolution

• Figure out how driverless cars could become a well secured transport and a “surveillance vehicle”

Теми, които се разглеждат в курса:

  1. How can invisible algorithms play a crucial role in our ethical choices when real time data are backtracked?
  2. How can 5000 behavior features in Cambridge Analytica's Alamo project affect the ethics of free choice by decision-making of online users? (Compare Obama’s and Trump’s elections in USA with Holland’s in France)?
  3. How should historically available ‘building blocks’ of ethics be employed to escape the surveillance economy (after Snowden’s disclosures)?
