COURSE ANNOTATION AND AIMS:

• Erotic appeals in advertising from different perspectives - physiological, psychoanalytical terms of different consumer groups (male, female, alternative-sexual), intercultural Aspic sexuality.

• The sign systems in sexualized ads - the symbolism of the human body, clothes, colors, hair, tattoos and so on.

OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE

• To achieve knowledge and skills in basic perspectives on the use of erotic appeals in advertising.

• Ability to analyze ads using erotic appeals.

• Skills Assessment sign systems used in eroticized ads.

SKILLS

After completing successfully this course the students will:

1) know:

• different perspectives of using erotic appeals in advertising;

• different sign systems used in sexualized ads;

2) are capable of:

• analyze advertising appeals related to erotica, from different perspectives;

• to evaluate sexual appeals according to different consumer groups;

• use sexual appeals in preparing advertisements.
