Анотация:
COURSE ANNOTATION AND AIMS:
• The course familiarizes the students with the development of the legal norms and systems, with specific emphasis on continental and common legal traditions. The course follows a multiaspect approach by combining philosophical, historical, administrative, regulative and normative approaches. Its aim is to present the scope, the specifics and the main problems of legal science as well as to introduce basic concepts and theories and to demonstrate some of the main methods through case-studies, analysis of problematic situations, practical workshops and discussion.

After completing successfully this course the students will:
1) know:
• The basic theories and concepts about legal norms, legal systems and European (Continental) and Common Law legal traditions
2) are capable of:
• Applying legal approaches in analyzing various juridical, social and political situations
