The aim of the course is to introduce the students into the main philosophical discussions in and around the interdisciplinary field of cognitive science.

Students who complete this course:
1) will know:
• what is the role of philosophy in the interdisciplinary project called ‘cognitive science’
• what is at stake in the main philosophical discussions in and around cognitive science
2) will be able to:
• discuss the pros and cons of famous philosophical arguments in cognitive science;
• reflect on the main positions in a chosen philosophical debate.
