Анотация:
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic philosophical discussions in cognitive science, related to the concept of representation, the boundaries of cognition, the uses of computational models, the interaction between cognition and culture, and more.

Компетенции:
Students who complete this course:
1) will know:
• about the role of philosophy in the cognitive revolution;
• what is at stake in the debates about the role of representations and computation in human cognition;
• the philosophical grounds of the cognitive theories of emotions, reasoning, concepts and morality.
2) will be able to:
• outline the different views about the uses of representations, normative rules, and concepts in human cognitive system;
• discuss the evidence for and against the various conceptions of embodied cognition, theory of mind, rationality and cognitive foundations of morality.
