Анотация:

• The discipline "Labour relations and personnel security" emphasizes the issues related to the implementation of the legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria and the EU and the interrelationships between them in the field of human resources management. The discipline is new and has not been taught to date. It was developed specifically for the current master's program students from NBU.

• The purpose of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills regarding the legal nature, characteristics, elements and peculiarities of labor relations and relationships with employees. The main goal is for students to acquire scientific knowledge and skills and to be able to implement the connection between law and economics.

• The study material is divided into 11 topics, each of which is complemented by developing questions and case studies. The schedule of each topic is consistent with its scope and importance of the issues discussed in it.

After conducting and studying the lecture course, students will know:

• essence, functions and system of labor law, as a science studying labor

relations;

• basic principles of labor relations in terms of their scientific and practical significance;

• main characteristics of the employment relationship - subjects, objects, occurrence, action and termination;

• the peculiarities and the content characteristics of the elements of the labor legal relations;

• the mechanisms of regulation of the relations with the employees and the system of labor management and the system of human resources management in the organizations;

• the responsibilities of the participants in the employment relationship;

• control system for compliance with the legal framework in the field of

labor relations;

• cumulation of human resources management with the legislation in the field of human resources management.

and will be able to:

• to define the essence, functions, system of labor law, as a science studying labor relations;

• to identify the basic principles of labor relations in terms of their

scientific and practical significance;

• comprehensively analyze and evaluate the main characteristics of labor relations regarding their subjects, objects, occurrence, action and termination;

• to derive and analyze the features and their content characteristics;

• to formulate, classify and evaluate on a characteristic basis the

legislation in the field of labor relations;

• to take decisions for the application of the normative regulation in the field of labor legal relations and identification of the connection between the normative acts;

• accumulate knowledge and skills in human resources management with the legislation in the field of human resources management.

Средства за оценяване:

The examination and assessment of the competencies of the students will be performed through current control and examination in the discipline. Students who have received positive marks from two term papers (up to 10 pages each) on assigned topics will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. The final grade from the current grade is obtained taking into account the weights: each course work has a weight of 50%.

Students who have not met the requirements for ongoing assessment take an exam. Only students who have attached their term papers to Moodle at the time allotted for the exam are admitted to the exam.
