COURSE OUTLINE

The course will introduce human groups as self-organizing systems with special emphasis on group processes in virtual communication. For this purpose, the students will work with their experience from participation in virtual and real social networks with various agendas.

Students having successfully graduated the course:

1) Will learn about the various ways through which groups exercise control over their members.

2) Will be able to identify the different, often contradictory ways through which different group cultures promote and shape individual’s thinking and acting.

A paper on ethics of constructive and human group behaviour will be presented by the students and discussed during the semester. Active performance within discussions will also be graded.
