Професионална автобиография:

Боян Манчев (София, 1970) е философ, работещ в полето на онтологията, философията на изкуството и политическата философия, разработвайки проекта за динамична или модална онтология.

Боян Манчев е автор на тринайсет книги на български, френски, английски и италиански език, между които "Свобода въпреки всичко. Свръхкритика и модална онтология" (София, 2020, под печат), "Новият Атанор. Елементи на философската фантастика" (Философска фантастика, т. 1, София, 2019), "Облаци. Философия на свободното тяло" (София, 2017; английско издание 2019), "Метеор. Избрани Театрални Текстове" (съвместно с Ани Васева, София, 2018), "Логика на политическото" (София, 2012), Miracolo (Milano, 2011), L’altération du monde (Paris, 2009), La métamorphose et l’instant – Désorganisation de la vie (Paris, 2009), Тялото-Метаморфоза (София, 2007), Невъобразимото. Опити по философия на образа (София, НБУ, 2003), както и на близо триста студии и статии, публикувани на български, френски, английски, немски, италиански, испански, португалски, японски, китайски, руски, шведски, сръбски, словенски и други езици. Съставител и редактор на ред издания, между които броевете на списанието Rue Descartes 64: La métamorphose (PUF, 2009) и Rue Descartes 67: Quel sujet du politique ? (PUF, 2010, съвместно с Рада Ивекович и Габриела Бастера). Преводач е на български език на Corpus на Жан-Люк Нанси (ЛИК, 2003).

Манчев е доцент към Департамент “Изкуствознание и история на културата” на НБУ, където преподава философия и теория на изкуството и културата (от 2001); гост-професор в Берлинския университет за изкуства, където преподава философия и съвременна културна теория (от 2010) и Университета Холинс (Вирджиния/Франкфурт/Берлин, от 2014). Директор на програма и вицепрезидент на Международния философски колеж в Париж (2004-2010). Манчев е изнасял лекции в множество европейски, американски и азиатски университети и културни институции, организирал е ред конференции и публични форуми в областта на философията, съвременното изкуство и политика; включва се като автор, теоретик, драматург или куратор в ред проекти в областта на визуалните изкуства, театъра, киното и съвременния танц.

Член на редакционните колегии на сп. “Критика и хуманизъм” (София), Lignes (Париж), Materiali Foucaultiani (Рим / Париж), Stasis (Санкт Петербург), както и на издателството “Метеор”.
