PSYE408 Психодиагностика: възрастни

Анотация:

This course introduces students to the basic theory and the general practice of psychological assessment. It integrates approaches relying on clinical interview as well as data obtained from testing. The course focuses on personality and cognitive psychodiagnostics, as well as assessment in special settings such as work with patients with substance abuse, personality disorders and criminal offenders. Students will be taught how to administer, score and interpret a variety of tests in these areas and how to report the results in written form.

Компетенции:

* Principles and methods of clinical adult assessment

* The most widely used tools measuring cognitive and socio-emotional functioning and personality

* Psychiatric and clinical psychology theory and terminology in the assessment process and treatment outcome research.

* Develop hypotheses, select criteria and materials (tests, questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, observations, etc.), administer, analyze and interpret assessment tools, integrate these findings into accurate psychodiagnostic assessment and appropriate recommendations.
