Анотация:

The course presents up-to-date research and scientific knowledge of the main biological, social and psychological theories of the development of addictive disorders(substance use disorders and behavioral addictions). The main approaches for prevention and evidence based treatment of addictions are discussed in details. Students are introduced to the psychological basis of addictive behaviors, the place of psychological counseling when working with different age and social groups, as well as with patients with psychiatric comorbidity.
