Анотация:

This course in applied statistics aims:

- to give the students a conceptual understanding of the basic probability and statistical procedures;

- to help the students achieve those computational skills need to carry out data analysis procedures in practical settings;

- to give some knowledge on the statistical packages, and especially on IBM SPSS.

- to give the students skills of statistical packages output interpretation.

Компетенции:

Students successfully finished this course will:

1)know:

• the underlying terms and facts used in applied statistics

• to select an appropriate research method and sample model in

connection to the data structure

• to select suitable statistical methods for data analysis.

2) be able to:

• orientate in scientific literature which use the method of

applied statistics

• use statistical packages for modeling and analyzing empirical

data sets

• interpret correctly output results from statistical packages.

• make reliable conclusions.
