Анотация:

The course introduces the main problems, concepts and questions about the philosophical reflection on religion. It studies the nature of the Divine and our knowledge thereof as well as the different contextual problems which religious faith and knowledge are facing in the contemporary world. The most important debates are also followed in this course, from the ancient religious systems to the present day.

After completing successfully this course the students will:

1) know:

Which are the major problems and the key concepts in the study of the Divine and the human relation to it.

2) are capable of:

Discerning the philosophical aspects of religion and the classical, and contemporary arguments about the possibility and extent of our knowledge on the major questions of religion; participating in debates concerning today's religious beliefs and practices, and their interconnection with the other spheres of society.
