PHEB607 Critical Theory

Annotation:

The course’s aim is to present some of the most important philosophical and critical tendencies of the 20th c. in their relation with the social and political praxis. We will discuss various interpretation of the political and cultural phenomena in the last decades. The ongoing transformation of social forms and cultural institutions will be of main interest. The structure of the course will be based upon the identification of key concepts and problems as well as on contextual presentations of contemporary critical tendencies and schools of thought.
