Анотация:
This course introduces topics at the intersection of the study of language and mind, including aspects of language and communication, the psychology of language, cognitive linguistics, linguistic relativity, child language acquisition, bilingualism, etc. At the end of the course students choose relevant subtopics for group work and oral presentations.

1) will know:
• Basic terminology and main topics in the area
• Specific examples of the methods and findings in the psychology of language, cognitive linguistics, the language-cognition interface, and language acquisition
2) will be able to:
• Make brief focused oral presentations on the relationship between language and mind
