Анотация:

This course has been designed to provide students with the main and leading theories and views in organizational psychology. It focuses on the social aspects of organizations and work places where people spend a great part of their lives. The course explores interactions between human behaviour at work and organizational processes and attributes. It explores organizations at the individual and team level, examining the relationship between employees and managers, and employees and teams. It examines the factors that drive productivity and success in organizations including motivation, work stress, job satisfaction, organizational structure and culture. During the course students will have lectures, discussions, practical exercises and work in groups.

Компетенции:

Students will know:

• Students will acquire an understanding of psychological foundation of work and organizational behaviour;

• Students will have knowledge about varies motivation models and theories and how to apply them in practice;

Students will can:

• Students will be able to analyze organizations, their formal and informal aspects and processes;

• Students will be able to identify particular organizational problems and to apply knowledge derived from theories and researches for improvement of organizational effectiveness.

Prerequisites for students:

• To know the main theoretical models of social psychology, psychology of personality and group dynamics;

• To be acquainted with the psychological research methodology.
