Професионална автобиография:

Людмил Дуриданов е изследовател на новите комуникации и води лекции в СУ „Св. Климент Охридски“, ТУ София и НБУ (с особен акцент върху „скритата психология“ при синхронизиране езика на тялото с този на социалните медии и ключовата роля на когнитивните настройки на комуникация с ИИ). Благодарение на развиването на програмата по професионален опит, той е привлечен като Adjunct Professor при Факултета по компютърни и математически науки на Университета на Западен Сидни (2017 г.).

Завършва българска филология в СУ "Св. Климент Охридски" (М.А.,M.Ed. 1988) и става доктор на философските науки (лингвистика, южна славистика и философия) на Фрайбургския университет "Алберт Лудвиг" (Dr. phil. 2000). Неговият специален фокус са религиозните и политически аспекти на визуалния език на иконите на Изток. Особен интерес за него представляват онези ключови моменти на познанието, които създават естествени споделени пространства на общуването на принципа „The map is not the territory. Мind the map, history is not given.“ Преподавал е историческа семантика, социолингвистика, психололингвистика, културна и религиозна история на Византия и Османската империя и е участвал в интердисциплинарни проекти във Фрайбург, Страсбург, Мюнстер, Йена, Ерфурт, Лайпциг и Сидни. Водил е лекции по гейм дизайн и философия на изкуствения интелект в Университета на Западен Сидни във връзка с различни психологически аспекти на технологичното познание и неговото приложение, напр. за различните типове онлайн общности и оживяване на митологията в различни компютърни игри. От 2014 г. и 2016 г. инициира успешно развиващите се бакалавърски майнър-програми (Digital Humanities, Инженеринг на цифрови услуги) в НБУ, фокусирани върху дигиталната флуидност на новия визуален език на 21. век и неговите социални диалекти. Заедно с дългогодишния специалист по ИИ от Университета на Западен Сидни, проф. д-р Симеон Симов, води междууниверситетски семинар, в който фините нюанси на естествения език играят съществена роля при prompt engineering, в диалога с ИИ приложенията, които изскочиха от кутията на Пандора през ноември 2022 година.

Ludmil Duridanov is a communication theorist who lectures at New Bulgarian University, Sofia University, and the Technical University of Sofia. Through his contribution to the development of the Professional Experience Program, he holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the School of Computer, Data & Mathematical Sciences, Western Sydney University.

He holds a Master of Arts and Education (M.A.,M.Ed.) in Bulgarian Language and Literature from St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia (1988) and a Doctorate of Philosophical Sciences (Dr. phil., 2000) from Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, with formal academic specialization in Linguistics, South Slavic Studies, and Philosophy. As a Research Fellow, he has taught at universities in Sofia, Freiburg, Jena, Erfurt, Leipzig, Halle, and Sydney, offering courses on historical semantics, online communities, social networking psychology, as well as Slavic, Byzantine, and Ottoman cultural and interreligious traditions. His scholarly trajectory began with a monograph (Sofia, 1990) providing critical insights into pre-internet communication and face-to-face interaction. This interdisciplinary line of inquiry was later extended to research on the visual language of medieval icons (Freiburg, 2000) and their enduring influence on modern visual culture.

Since 2014 and 2016 respectively, he has initiated and coordinated two BA minor programs at New Bulgarian University - Digital Humanities and Service Delivery Engineering. Both programs focus on the digital fluidity of 21st-century visual language and its emerging social-media dialects. In 2018, he founded the DH Creative Lab together with NBU lecturers and students, establishing an incubator for history- and mythology-based game design projects, including The Magic of Orpheus (since 2019), as well as educational games for children of the autism spectrum.

In collaboration with an experienced AI researcher Prof. Dr. Simeon Simoff (Western Sydney University), he currently co-leads an inter-university seminar exploring the role of linguistic subtlety in prompt engineering and human–AI dialogue, addressing epistemic and ethical challenges that emerged with the widespread public release of generative AI systems since November 2022.
