Анотация:
- The course deals with the basic concepts of psychological testing, including practical group work on creation of simple tests.
- The aim of the course is the student’s achievement of conceptual understanding of the main concepts and methods for psychological testing, as well some practical skills for creation and analysis of psychological tests.

Успешно завършилите курса студенти:

• basic terminology – validity, reliability, etc.
• basic methods and analyzes for testing.
• the difference between right and wrong conducted survey.
2) могат:
• to use standardized psychological tests.
• to create new tests for psychological constructs.

1 Definition of test. Examples of popular tests.
2 Measurement scales. Basic properties and statistics.
3 How to create a new test: representativeness or prognostics. Operationalization of the test.
4 How to create a new test: test format and milestones in its development.
5 Constructing items for the original form of the test. Items-analysis. Discriminatory ability.
6 Reporting the results of the group work of the students.
7 Standardization. Consistency, validity and norms.
8 Reliability. Basic equations and the reliability index. Types of errors and sources of error.
9 Factors influencing the reliability. Interpretation of the reliability assessments.
10 Homogeneity. Consistency. Reliability of sub-tests and differences.
11 Validity. Relationship between validity and reliability.
12 Types of validity: content, criterion, and construct validity.
13 Validity regarding reliability. Basic paradigms.
14 Reporting the results of the group work of the students.

Текущ контрол:
1-ви тест в средата на семестъра.
2-ри тест в края на семестъра.
Студентите, които са изкарали успешно и двата теста могат да се освободят от изпит и да получат крайна оценка на базата на двата теста.
Студентите, които не са изкарали успешно някои от тестовете, се явяват на изпит по време на сесията.
