CLLB553 Анатолийска епиграфика (Anatolian Epigraphy)

Анотация:

• In this course, students will be offered the essentials of epigraphy as per inscription found in Ancient Anatolia and on Thracian land. Different types of epigraphical evidence will be adduced in order to get to the core of what is preserved in the inscriptions. Two fundamental questions are to be discussed: (1) Are data from literary sources reliable as to the analysis of the Thracians, and (2) Whether the latter are to be utilized along with epigrphy data.

• Furthering on the discussion on evidence and data, students will be focused on learning and analyzing the latter.
