Професионална автобиография:

Людмил Дуриданов е изследовател на новите комуникации и лектор в НБУ (с особен акцент върху „скритата психология“ при синхронизиране езика на тялото с този на социалните медии) и Adjunct Fellow при Факултета по компютърни и математически науки на Университета на Западен Сидни (от 2017 г.). Завършва българска филология в СУ "Св. Климент Охридски" (М.А. 1988) и докторат по философия и лингвистика във Фрайбургския университет "Алберт Лудвиг" (Dr. phil. 2000), фокусиран върху религиозни и политически аспекти на визуалния език на иконите.

Особен интерес за него представляват ключови моменти на познанието, които създават естествени споделени пространства на общуването на принципа „The map is not the territory. Мind the map, history is not given.“ Преподавал е историческа семантика, социолингвистика, психололингвистика, културна и религиозна история на Византия и Османската империя и е участвал в интердисциплинарни проекти във Фрайбург, Страсбург, Мюнстер, Йена, Ерфурт, Лайпциг и Сидни. Водил е лекционни лекции по гейм дизайн и философия на изкуствения интелект в Университета на Западен Сидни във връзка с различни психологически аспекти на технологичното познание и неговото приложение, напр. за различните типове онлайн общности и оживяване на митологията в различни компютърни игри. От 2013 г. и 2016 г. инициира успешно развиващите се бакалавърски майнър-програми (Digital Humanities, Инженеринг на цифрови услуги) в НБУ, фокусирани върху дигиталната флуидност на новия визуален език на 21. век и неговите социални диалекти.

Неговият подход на асоциативно водене на дискусиите върху подбрани от практиката казуси се базира на професионалния му опит като консултант на свободна практика към Германската Пощенска банка (2004-2009) и провеждания от него комуникационен и консултантски тренинг на инвеститори в България (от 2009 г. досега).

Ludmil Duridanov is a Communication Theorist holding lectures at the New Bulgarian University Sofia and Adjunct Fellow at the School of Computer, Data & Math Sciences (formerly known as School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics SCEM) – Western Sydney University. He graduated Bulgarian language and literature at St. Kliment Ohridski University Sofia (MA, 1988), Philosophy and Linguistics at Albert Ludwig University Freiburg (Dr. phil., 2000). As a Research Fellow he has been lecturing at various Universities (Sofia, Freiburg, Jena, Erfurt, Leipzig and Sydney) on topics in Linguistic Theory, Online Communities, Social Networking Psychology, Slavic, Byzantine and Ottoman cultural and religious tradition. Starting with a monograph (Sofia 1990) focused on critical insights about the development of digital communications in face-to-face interaction he has extended communication analysis to key aspects of the visual language of icons in the Middles Ages (Freiburg 2001) and its impact in Modern Times. Since 2013 he has been running two BA Minor programs (Digital Humanities, Service Delivery Engineering) at NBU focused on the digital fluidity of the 21st century “visual language” and its Social Media dialects. Since 2018 the DH Creative Lab along with NBU lecturers and students initiated an incubator atmosphere for game design projects focused on history- / mythology-based games, such as the Magic of Orpheus (started February 2019), as well as educational games for children of the Autistic Spectrum.

He has mostly dedicated his research on key moments of history with a societal impact in Southeastern Europe as well as on the internet world of communications. His economic activities (2004-2009) as a Consultant at the German Postbank in Jena (2006-2009, Area Manager of the Real Estate Division) allowed him to see the expansion of global communications with new eyes. The practical expertise gained from these processes have brought him to run a practically oriented field of Communication Management while accompanying clients in Germany and Bulgaria (2009-2023) and lecturing on Key Competencies in Nonverbal Communication and the "silent language" of Social Media at the New Bulgarian University.
